Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen for our benefit. It is a feeling of trust in someone or something. It is when we expect something to happen even when we don’t know what the future may hold.
We all have a hope in Jesus. Jesus Christ is our only Living Hope (1 Peter 1:3). The Bible gives us confident hope in Jesus and His word, what He says will come to pass because His word does not return void (Isa. 55:11).
We stand in the hope of what the Lord has done for us in the past, He will do for us again in the future (2 Cor. 1:10)
Hope is believing for something good to happen or come to pass in a hopeless situation. Hope does not make us oblivious to the truth and things going on around us. It gives us something to look forward to because we know the goodness and faithfulness of God and what He is capable of (Deut. 7:9, 2 Thes. 3:3).
No matter what this life may bring our way, how bad or off things may seem, or when all hope seems lost, we always have Jesus!
A Prayer For Hope
Lord Jesus, thank You for being my Living Hope. Thank You that when all else seems lost or uncertain, You are my constant. I come to You today for hope, Your word tells us that You are the Hope for the hopeless. Thank You, Lord for giving me hope for my future and all unseen things. Help me to see through Your eyes, Jesus. Help me to see You in every situation. Show me what You want me to learn or gain from what seems hopeless right now. Grow me in You. Keep my eyes, mind, and heart fixed on You in every area of my life. You are my strength, Lord. Continue to guide and lead me in the way and will that You have for me, regardless of what seems to be surrounding me. I know that I look surrounded by situations, but I am surrounded by You! Thank You for being all that I need and for being faithful and never letting me down. I need You and I love You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Remember, you are NEVER alone! Jesus is just a call away, call on Him, at all times (Ps. 34:17, Jer. 33:3).
